Surely by using this method you won’t need to use mortar, but, you still need to grout the tiles, which can be quite annoying. Lately there are some number of complaints regarding this type of flooring, because of cracking that appear on the floating tile floor due to the spaces with the basic tray.
But some of the cracking involved heavy objects placed above the tiles, but some also reporting cracking appear from only walking above them. Also, for you who love having a lot of tile variation, unfortunately, floating tile floor didn’t offer a lot of it. Their choice of variations and colors are actually quite limited, so you’ll need to stick with these limiter choices.
